Boldt Real Estate and The Boldt Company, in partnership with PIH Health , are developing a new 112,000‑square‑foot multi‑specialty medical office building (MOB) on the PIH Health Whittier Hospital campus. This facility is designed to expand access to high‑quality, coordinated outpatient care for residents across Los Angeles and Orange counties.
Located directly on the Whittier hospital campus, the building will consolidate a broad range of outpatient services in one location, enhancing convenience for patients and strengthening collaboration among clinical teams.
Strategic Planning and Market Alignment
To ensure the development aligns with long‑term community needs, PIH Health and Boldt conducted a systemwide master planning initiative. Over three months, the partners reviewed inpatient and outpatient service lines and evaluated them against 30‑year market projections for the greater Los Angeles region.
This planning effort allowed PIH Health to:
- Identify anticipated demand shifts across specialties
- Optimize service distribution across its broader market
- Determine which specialties should be expanded, consolidated, or newly introduced on the Whittier campus
The new MOB is a direct outcome of this strategic assessment and is designed to complement PIH Health’s regional network of hospitals and outpatient centers.
